Today's dish is meatloat, using the classic dried onion soup mix recipe.

The equipment and ingredients needed will be at the end of this video.

Meatloaf is either made with ground beef or for extra flavor meatloaf mix,

which is a combination of ground veal, ground beef, and brown pork. Using a large

bowl mixed together two pounds of the meat with just one envelope of the onion

soup mix, three-fourths cup of plain or seasoned dry breadcrumbs, two eggs, three-fourth

cup of water, and one-third cup of ketchup. With just washed hands, mix everything together until just combined.

You could use a spoon to mix this all together, but I find my hands work better.

Now scoop it out into a pan that measures 13 inches long by 9 inches wide and 2 inches high.

Shape the meat into a loaf.

For extra flavor, spread about one third cup of ketchup

over the top. Make it for about one hour at 350 degrees or until the internal temperature

is 160 degrees. Let it stand for at least 20 minutes before you cut into it. It will be

much easier to slice if you wrap it up and serve it for tomorrow night's dinner. Enjoy!

2 eggs, 3 4's cup of water, 2 thirds cup of ketchup, and 2 pounds of meatloaf mix or ground beef.
