• Social media influencer “Meatball” was arrested for her participation in wide-spread looting in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Dayja “Meatball” Blackwell, who has nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok, was charged with 6 felonies and spent the day in prison. In a video posted to Instagram, Meatball said her brief experience in jail was “traumatizing.”

• Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has died at age 90—she won her seat in 1992 and was the oldest sitting member of the U.S. Senate at the time of her death. Earlier this year, Feinstein had been absent from the Senate for several months while recovering from shingles. In an interview conducted prior to Feinstein’s passing, Governor Gavin Newsome (D-CA) vowed to appoint a black woman to replace Feinstein in the event she resigned.
