| 1:03.7 | and I graduated from high school in Spain. I went to the University of Oregon to run track, |

| 1:11.6 | The way I discovered running was during my junior year in high school. |
| 1:16.6 | I went out for football in seventh grade because all my friends were going out for football. |
| 1:20.6 | But at home, we never watched sports, so even though I was on the football team, |
| 1:25.6 | I really didn't know the rules or the strategy, so I sat on the bench the whole time. |
| 1:29.3 | In the winter, I went out for basketball and sat the bench again. |
| 1:33.3 | And when one of the games was out of hand, the coach put me in, |
| 1:36.3 | and four times I brought the basketball up court, |
| 1:39.3 | four times I was called for traveling. |
| 1:41.3 | I looked over at my coach and he was just shaking his head. |
