Allow Jason to take the stand and bring you up to speed on everything, and as a sufferer himself, he has the perfect viewpoint and a very interesting perspective on living with ME. It is often misunderstood by everyone from comedians to health specialists, and it’s tough to convey just how much of a burden it can be to a sufferer, but hopefully with this engaging and informative chat with Jason, and ME Awareness Day itself, understanding will grow and it won’t be such a mysterious and mis-read condition. Hear Pip and Jason cover everything from addiction and the complications of being addicted to things we need in order to survive, fasting, Jason’s initial nervousness of talking about ME, how it has often been seen as a psychological condition, how Jason’s been a case study for medics and how they often learn from him, ill informed jokes which are ultimately in poor taste, his Superman status and complex immune system and the overwhelming nature of the condition when it comes to day to day stimulus.
