Hello, you spooktacular people. Welcome to History Goes Bump Redux. I am your host,

Ann. And this is Kelly. Kelly, on this redux, we're going to be covering a location that

we did back in 2016. Not many people have probably heard of this place, but they should

if they're into haunted places because this place has to be one of the most haunted

places in the world based on all of the personal experiences that people have shared.

We had a boatload of them back in 2016, and we have even more today. And this is McMennamons

Edgefield, which is in Oregon. Are you ready to go back? I'm ready.

McMennamons Edgefield is located in Troutdale, Oregon. And it's a historical tale that

features a little bit of everything from fine dining to concerts, to a movie theater,

to a distillery and brewery, to a spa and golfing. The spa once housed the county poor farm.

There are several spirits here, and some of them seem to be hitchhiking ghosts,

like our infamous friends at the haunted mansion. Join us as we explore the history and

hauntings of McMennamons Edgefield.

The area that would become the city of Troutdale, Oregon, is located at the confluence of the

Sandy and Columbia rivers. Lieutenant Broughton and his crew discovered this spot in 1792.

The first settlers would not lay stakes here until 1850, and one of those men was founder David

F. Buckston. Former C. Captain John Harlow planned out the town and built a trout farm. He called

his farm Troutdale, and eventually the town would take that name. You know, earlier, Kelly, I was

asking you, was the fishing good here? I don't know, but I've been to the area.
