And now the low post.

Welcome to the low post podcast on a rainy, dreary one day here on the East Coast where

it's time to do something we never do at ESPN.

And that's talk about the Los Angeles Lakers who have a whole new team around LeBron James

and Anthony Davis this year and played a preseason game on Sunday, the first game of

the NBA season.

They got waxed, panic is ensuing, the Lakers house is crumbling because Bruce Brown and

the Brooklyn that's laid waste to the Lakers at Staples Center to help us sort through

all things Lakers, the one and only Dave McMendom and how are you, sir?

I'm doing well, but it did bring back this memory that had been so buried in the recesses

of my mind back in the 2012, 2013 season.

Kind of the last time the Lakers did this super team with veteran guys, obviously Steve

Nash and Anton Jameson and Dwight Howard were added to the Kobe Powell tandem.

Well that preseason they went, oh and seven.

And it was like, it was the preseason so we don't really care.

But obviously we know Sunday there was no LeBron and no Russell Westbrook and no Camilo

Anthony and the Lakers weren't playing their full squad by any measure.

But when that 24-2 run happened in the fourth quarter by the nuts, I was like, please

don't have another season that was quite so difficult to cover like that 2012, 2013 season.

First of all Anton Jameson rarely gets thrown in with the Nash Kobe Dwight Powell Lakers

disaster.

He rarely gets thrown in, that's nice for Anton Jameson.
