Hey, I caught your story this week on some problems that EVs have in cold weather.

This is not necessarily new for many people in the industry,

but perhaps new, at least in the sense

that some consumers out there who have electric vehicles are getting some maybe

unpleasant firsthand experience.

What's the landscape out there right now given that a good chunk of the country has had some

cold weather recently?

Yeah, last week especially was very frigid in some areas and that led to very long charging times at public chargers.

A lot of lines for the chargers and in some cases people were

waiting so long that they had to get a tow because they couldn't even get to the

charger in time. But recurrent says that EVs lose about 30% of their range on average in freezing conditions.
