This week, I was in the great state of Washington for, well, a number of reasons that we'll

discuss in this podcast, and I actually just got back to Crested Butte a couple hours ago.

But this past Monday night, I recorded this conversation that you were about to hear with

K2 ski designer Jed Yizer

and K2 athlete McKenna Peterson.

We have talked on Gear 30 a lot about our review process at Blister and how we go about,

you know, well, the actual process of testing skis and getting feedback from

several of our reviewers.

And, well, that's what you hear.

Me and Luke Kappa and Sasha Nastis and Kara Williard and Kristen Sinat and a number of

our other blister reviewers do on this show frequently.

But today you're going to get to hear the process of how a ski designer, Jed Yizer,

works with a professional skier, McKenna Peterson,

and then actually you're going to get to hear, well, have me enter the mix into this.

And you're going to get to hear about the day we had skiing

together on Monday, where we were really kind of triangulating a bit. And we were bouncing off

things we were feeling on skis and some skis that Jed was prototyping. And then we actually

talked maybe more than we ever have about snow conditions. And then, of course,

we also end up talking about flip-flops and books and biathlons and a number of other things.
