Today, a lot to discuss, a pack show.

I'm not even going to do my usual long-winded, annoying intro.

I am excited to have our guest here today from the Athletic Football Show, the excellent Derek Classen.

Derek, how are you?

I'm doing good and a little bit more rattled coming into the show than we thought.

We got more stuff to discuss. You know, we talk about coming into the day. Like, oh, yeah, we'll just talk about the divisional and then wake up this morning. And I'm on the West Coast. So my time is like, it's like 6.30 in the morning, Sean McDermott gets fired. And I'm like, oh, my God. I'm going to have to deal with this now.

Yeah, I mean, a crazy situation.

Certainly rumors, certainly like sort of seem like, okay, the bills might sit here and say,

we've got to change something.

But this feels honestly so consistent to me in terms of the reaction I have seen from the people I respect who pay attention to the game of football.

And almost across the board, and maybe you'll be the exception.

Maybe you'll convince me otherwise.

But it's felt like the reaction has been, you were going to fire somebody from the Buffalo Bills?

The guy you chose was Sean McDermott?

I think to me, this is always a situation where like it should have been both.

And I think this is one where you can very easily put this on both.

Like when you lose six straight years in the playoffs and can never get yourself over the hump, obviously like half of those are against Patrick Mahomes, who ends up going to the Super Bowl or winning it most of the year. So I'll give you like a smidgen of a pass for that, especially with like how the 13 seconds game goes and all that stuff. But then this last year, I do think a lot of that can fall on Sean McDermott's. And I think what is frustrating

about this year in particular and what makes it a little bit hard to parse is I actually do think
