I'm Mike Slater. Thanks so much for being here. I feel like we haven't given a good proper intro to this podcast in a while. So let me give the quick, maybe two-minute version here. So politics by faith. I'm going to tell you why we called it that in a second as well. A lot of anxiety in the world, a lot of anxiety in politics. You saw a lot of it last week with the whole speaker's race. That's what we're going to talk about today. Just tensions are high. And if you watch the news, most people watch it at night. Or maybe first thing in the morning and you get all stressed out in the morning and then at night, it's the last thing you think about at night.

You're like, oh, geez, and then you're supposed to go to sleep.

So people are doom scrolling me.

I'm doom scrolling all day long and just a lot of anxiety.

So the goal of this podcast is to give you the top story and then give some historical perspective and biblical peace so that you can go to sleep at night.

I mean, that's truly the vision.

And we're not going to talk about the politics.

I'm not going to take political stances in this podcast.
