I believe in the power of prayer.

Do you?

If you do,

I find that prayer grounds me,

centers me,

puts me in a good place.

You know, as men traditionally,

the head of the household,

the leader in the family,

the community, the organization,

at least putatively, women have different forms of leadership

that is very powerful,

that is not as titular in nature,

not as formal or institutionalized.

But I find

that we tend to bear a lot of burdens,

mentally.

This is anxiety,

what we call it now.

But it was a burden.

You could feel it.
