In the recently released Harvard Harris poll that was conducted on July 19th and 20th,

take Donald Trump out of the primary. And you have DeSantis at 29,

Ramaswami at 19, Pence at 13, Scott at 5, Haley at 5, Kristi at 2, Elder at 1, Johnson at 1,

Bergam at 1, Suarez the mayor of Miami at 1, Bingley at 1, Hutchinson at 1, and Hurd at 1.

DeSantis is not putting distance between himself and the second place, which is Vivek Ramaswami,

Ramaswami has instead eaten into DeSantis's lead and pulled himself firmly into second place.

But of course, the only way you take Donald Trump out of the election is through law fair.

So let's put Donald Trump back in and see what that does. Donald Trump at 52%.

That is an astounding number at this point.

He's up 40 percentage points over Ron DeSantis.

Trump 52, DeSantis 12, Ramaswami 10, Pence 7, Haley 4, Scott 2, Kristi 2, Fat Chance,

Bergam 1, Hutchinson 1, Bingley 1, Suarez, Elder Johnson and Hurd don't register.

In a head to head, Trump goes from 52, 12 in a crowded field to 63, 37.

He picks up 11% of the remaining 48 that weren't with him in the first place.

He is absolutely slaughtering the field now to put it into perspective, to put it

absolutely into perspective. Let's talk about the pole that was conducted at this point,

this week actually eight years ago. So that would be late summer heading into the fall of 2015.

1, Jeb Bush in first place at 22%. Scott Walker, 2nd place, 17%. Marco Rubio, 3rd place, 14%.

Let me go back. 1st place, Jeb Bush, 22%. 2nd place, Scott Walker, 17%. 3rd place,

Marco Rubio, 14%. Trump was sitting on 1%. A lot can happen between now and Iowa.
