with one of my absolute favorite guitar players of all time, one of the greatest guitar players

of all time, potentially the greatest guitar player of our time. I said it, John Mayer. Now, my friends and I, all of us,

we get it. We know Mayor is king. But for whatever reason, a lot of the guitar world,

a lot of the guitar community, a lot of the guitar publications, don't give him his due. I'm here

to do it, okay? John has become a friend over the last

few months and that is insane to me because he is just an absolute legend and I have been

such a huge fan of his since I was a teenager learning how to play room for squares. Yes,

it's not a song. It's an album. That's why I said it. I learned the songs off the album. Neon was way too freaking hard, though, at the time. I didn't have the chops. I didn't have the chops. Mayor is dope. I'm going to go on record and say, I already did. I went on record. He's one of the greatest guitar players of all time.

Tone, technicality, musicality, rhythm, pocket, dynamics, songwriting, choices, parts, production,

all of that. This is a very, very unique musician because he has that perspective of somebody

who understands the craft of a song, somebody who understands the craft of a song,

somebody who understands the craft of playing guitar in a pop setting, somebody who understands

how to play guitar as the forefront instrument in a pop setting. There's not a lot of bands or

artists that have that these days. That is why I think John is so special and such a great ambassador for the instrument

right now.

kind of hung out for the whole day and we were recording for maybe three and a half or four hours.
