I think that the holidays feel like frozen noses. I love walking with the dog for long periods of time.

Hopefully it's snowing and you've got to wrap up warm. So I think a frozen nose is a sweaty armpit

because your wrapped up so warm but then you're climbing hamps and heath and you get to the top

and you're like, and then you can see the breath but then your nose is still freezing to top.

You hear that a lot in December, don't you? And for many, Christmas can be a wonderful time of the year.

A time filled with joy. Unfortunately, it can also be the hardest time of the year to find joy.

The holidays can magnify a person's sense of happiness and generosity but it can also magnify one sense of loneliness and loss.

The reality is that everyone has problems and sources of unhappiness in their lives.

Christmas won't change any of that. But what if this Christmas is different?

Hey Weirdos, I'm kind of at a whisper right now because my bride is sleeping in the other room.

You're not going to see any episodes from me for the next few days, possibly a week.

As long as it takes here, the problem is my computer crashed yesterday while I was dealing with that severe migraine

or sometime overnight. Sometime within the last 48 hours, it decided it didn't want to work anymore.

And we've tried everything I've been on the phone with Apple and it looks like something has just gone so wacky that we had to remove everything on the computer.

Just delete it all and start from scratch.

Fortunately, I do backups. Unfortunately, the time machine backup that I was working or that I was using, that screwed up as well.

Fortunately, in my other backup, my Dropbox does have, at least it should, have all of the documents and audio files and everything that I use for the podcast.

I learned the hard way a long time ago that you need to have at least a couple of backups just in case.
