And the chaos has led to some people mistakenly thinking abortions banned or something.

That's the most striking thing.

I think the Supreme Court did not ban abortion nationwide.

They just said there's not a right to abortion in the Constitution.

Therefore it goes back to the democratic process and states can set their own policies.

Congress wants to do something.

Congress can, but it's not in the Constitution.

So now you've seen this patchwork of laws and you're seeing legal challenges under state

constitutions, but you're going to see different laws in different states.

If you're in New York or California or Boston or Illinois or any of those democratic states,

disrolling will not affect your life at all.

So I appreciated hearing that from Jan Crawford on face the nation.

And we may get a chance to work our way back to the abortion thing because I read a absolutely

terrific essay about that and what it meant and what it didn't mean.

And I was struck over the weekend just running into people.

It came up occasionally, including one child who asked me because she got wind that I'm

kind of involved in news and government, that sort of thing.

How could the Supreme Court take away women's rights like that?
