New lawsuit I can announce against the IRS on potential targeting

of January 6th defendants. So what happened is the IRS was asked to, as is usually done,

with the left Democrats, to target their political opponents, namely January 6 people,

people who are supporting January 6 defendants, you name it. And Judicial Watch asked for documents

of the IRS for information about any targeting, and we got, again, the proverbial hand to the face,

and we had to sue in federal court for the information. You know, for example, there was this report

on January 19th from NPR earlier, I think it was last year, IRS has called to look into non-profit for

January 6 rioters. So there was a nonprofit evidently that was supporting January 6 defendants.

And what happened is Democratic members of Congress called for the IRS to scrutinize the nonprofit.

And as a result, I suspect the nonprofit was probably scrutinized.

So for example, there was a report in NPR that Democrats wanted to target something called the Patriots Freedom Fund that was supporting

January 6th defendants, and they told the IRS to look into them because they thought they

were, quote, too political or otherwise violating IRS regulations. There was an, and then Senator Ron Wyden, W-Y-D-E-N, the Democrat from Oregon, leading Democrat,

sought a broad IRS investigation of all groups associated with the January 6th protests.

So we had asked quite broadly for information from the IRS about anything

targeting January 6ers. We asked for records of IRS officials, including the then commissioner,

the acting commissioner, the chief tax compliance officer, and others that mentioned President Trump or the capital protesters, plus all

records referring to plans for audits of the protesters or supporters or related nonprofits.

So this is a pretty comprehensive investigation. We're auditing the IRS's potential targeting
