Dashar Burns to talk about everything driving the day.

How are you doing?

Oh, good morning. A little rough around the edges after the night. We had my friend.

You had especially because last night, guys, there was white smoke. Get excited. No, no, not

not coming out of Rome, but come on. Don't do that to people. Coming out of the White House itself on a trade deal, the thing we've been talking about

for the last however long it's been, about a month now since Donald Trump said he was going

to pause those trade tariffs and negotiate some trade deals.

Well, here we are this morning.

The UK, my own nation, I'm proud to say, will be first in line to announce a trade deal in the White

House at 10 a.m. And Dash and I will be talking about that. Dasher, we really nearly broke this

story last night. We had it. We were working on it. You were sat in your closet working on it.

I was literally on the... I was packing to go to Los Angeles for my brother-in-law's wedding. Congratulations,

Matt and Tatiana, but instead of packing, my suitcase is still empty because instead there was

breaking news. I got this wonderful picture of Dasha sat in front of her closet, cross-legged on

her laptop, trying to nail down the story that the UK was about to strike a trade deal with

America this morning. Fair play, The New York Times broke the story about eight minutes before we did,

which is not at all frustrating and well done there. We're very pleased.
