The Red Sox, I've heard the story, they're going to ban a guy for saying the N-word, and I understand that.

That's their prerogative.

We have all that audio and stuff that came with that.

That was quite the fiasco last night.

All right.

So, but why would the police get involved?

Like, they're turning the matter over to the police.

What are the police going to do about it?

I mean, the only thing that the police would be able to investigate is whether or not it was a hate crime,

whether there was any kind of threat or intimidation that was done at the time.

Because that doesn't seem like a police matter to me.

Well, once again...

I don't like the police legislating speech. I mean, if the Red Sox want to, you know,

ban a guy forever, that's their prerogative. Believe me, I don't want to be at a game where people are screaming the N-word,

especially if I have a kid there.

But I don't understand why the police would get involved with someone saying that.

It's because they are trying to find out whether there was a threat involved.

That's it.

Because it was said directly to a guy who had a biracial child and was sitting next to his black father in law.

So that's why.

So what, so like a threat meaning what?

That there was some sort of threat to the guy that he could hurt him or something.
