We got Murray, still. We got the whole crew of Billy Lanny, Directive Communications, all in tow. Want to start off with some Red Sox?

0:39.8

Sure, why not?

0:40.6

Okay, I have a series of Red Sox questions and items for you. Okay, let's do them in question, answer form. Well, we're just going to set you up because you're our baseball guy. So we're going to set you up for these and want you to know how you feel about these. All right, then.

0:51.2

And folks, you can weigh in if you want.

You were on Chris Sale when he was pitching well. You were on Chris Sale when he was lights out in the first, I don't know, handful of starts this season. So I can only imagine how you feel now. How do you feel about Chris Sale recently? I'm getting a little worried because I think he's starting to wear down a little. I just think he came out of the gate throwing bullets that it was inevitable that sooner or later he was going to

start to hit a wall and now here you are at the end of the second month and I have doubts already

with sale and his ability to sort of pitch at that intensity all year long, all year long.

1:26.1

Because his history shows that he fades in the month of August and September in the second half in general. And someone texted me last night when he came out of the gate and struck out, what was it, the first five outs of the game were strikeouts or something like that? And someone texted me and said, holy crap, like, you know, he's hitting 98 on the gun against Jose Ibrahim, you know, is this, Do you fear that a guy like this I get so geeked up that it hurt himself? And it did cross my mind. So I just, I don't know, I look at him. He's a freaking rail. He is a pencil out there. And if you keep whipping it, the way he whips it, I just don't know how you have anything left in the tank in September. Last five starts. Five starts now. Okay, decent sample. He is four and O because they're

starting to hit for him. But he's given up 29 hits in 32 innings. 17 earned runs. He has a

2:13.9

478 ERA in his last five starts. Yeah. In his first six starts, this is courtesy of Jimmy Stewart.

2:18.9

His first six starts, he was only two and two because they weren't hitting for him.

2:22.0

But again, just compare the numbers I just gave you.

2:24.6

In his first six starts, he had given up only seven run runs.

2:28.6

Again, 17 in the last five, he gave up seven in the first six.

2:32.0

His ERA in those games was one three eight. In the first six starts, he struck out 63. In the last five, he struck out 47. It's not off that far, but he has tailed off, especially the hits and the runs. Yeah, I just, I worry about it. It looks like, you know, it doesn't have quite sort of the same command of the fastball. Maybe the guy's muscle on the ball a little bit. The breaking ball doesn't seem quite as sharp to me as it did. And look, it just might be a little rut. I mean, every pitcher goes through it. But there's no way they accomplish anything without this guy, especially given all the other issues that have sort of plagued them during the year. Look, you know, he's the least of their problems in the big picture, but I do worry about his ability to sort of last. The comparisons to Pedro that people were making, look, I get it, okay? You know, the guy's electric, he's fun to watch, all of that. He's not Pedro. He was never Pedro. You know, Pedro to me, was on a planet unto himself for crying out loud. Okay, well, here's another thing I'd just like to bring up. The whole Chris Sale event has not transpired. That's what people sort of talked about, that it would be this thing every five days, like with Pedro, must watch, and, you know, just sort of a Chris Sale day, and everyone's buzzing about and talking about it. It hasn't really gone that way, at least on the TV ratings. No. Game did a five and a half last night, which is, you know, it feels like about their average this year. It's just not really a, it's not a remarkable number. They could do that on any night. Okay, that's just a standard night for them. That's nothing. They've got no Chris Sale bounce in the TV ratings, by the way. So again, five and a half last night's what the Sox did. The hockey, just if you want to compare it, did over three the night before. So it's not like Chris Hales changed that dynamic anyway. And it's just in his last five he's gotten hit a little bit you know

4:16.5

I wonder what's going on there a little too because there was a I think it was in the second inning last
