Summary

I’m in Szczecin in northwest Poland – previously known as Stettin, when in German hands.

It’s a fascinating city, as I have been hearing from Szymon Maksymiuk at the city’s tourist office – who explained that Szczecin has the newest “old town” in Europe – dating from the 1990s and still not finished.

and Stetian is this soft transition

1:01.0

between Poland and Germany,

1:03.0

so from German point of view,

1:04.0

it is indeed a far northeast of Germany

1:08.0

just by Berlin.

1:09.0

We are not more than 120 kilometres from Berlin well many

1:14.1

people are very familiar with Berlin they're not familiar with Schetchen and

1:18.3

should they be I hope they are not familiar with Schochen yet they definitely

1:24.5

should be there are many hidden gems in Sch Stochin and I always repeat that we do have here many the places, the highest, the biggest, the oldest.

1:38.3

Tell me what those are, the highest, the biggest, the oldest.

1:43.3

Let's take the highest cathedral in Poland, for example.

1:48.0

It has 110 meters, it is 110 meters high, which gives it the first place.

1:58.0

Although it is the second highest church in Poland.

2:01.6

The highest church in Poland in general is in Lijen, which is indeed far northeast of Poland.

2:08.6

But again, the biggest cemetery in Poland we have, and the third in Europe, which is rather a sort of a botanical garden than a cemetery it houses 400 species of plants
