schedule through the end of June. He's in Columbus, Ohio, New Hampshire, Boston, Atlanta, Iowa, New York,

and South Carolina. Team Biden says more events will be scheduled.

The top talker this morning is in the Wall Street Journal, which is reporting that the White

House wanted the USS John McCain out of sight during the president's trip to Japan.

The general reports that acting defense secretary Pat Shanahan was aware of the concern and approved

measures to make sure it didn't

interfere with Trump's visit, according to a U.S. official.

Measures were taken, including hanging a tarp over the ship's name, and sailors on the ship

who wear caps bearing its name were given the day off during Trump's visit.

Megan McCain tweeted that Trump is a child who will always be deeply threatened by the

greatness of my dad's incredible life.

There's a lot of criticism of how much I speak about my dad, but nine months since he passed,

Trump won't let him rest in peace, so I have to stand up for him.

It makes my grief unbearable.

Defense 1's Katie Bo Williams tweeted that Shanahan said he, quote, never authorized any action

around the movement or activity regarding that ship.

Furthermore, I would never dishonor the memory of a great American patriot like Senator McCain.

I would never disrespect the young men and women that crewed that ship.

And the president also weighed in.
