| 0:31.0 | Now it's all about baseball. |
| 0:33.3 | Now it's all about baseball, which I've always been one of those people that, you know, you kind of keep a, kind of keep an eye on it. But during the NHL, when the Bruins are in it, the Celtics are in it, you put all your concentration on that. And now, now all of the flashlights are on the ugliness. You know, anything that they do right, anything they do wrong is going to be magnified. |
| 0:56.2 | And just in time for David Price to come back. |
| 0:57.5 | And we'll obviously get to all that. |
| 1:12.2 | Yes, John. This Red Sox are lucky because they were a lot worse last week at this time. I mean, for those who weren't paying attention, they just won six straight games to get to where they are now. Yeah, it was a nice little streak. So the fact that they're in second place and only three games out is a minor miracle, all things considered. And the best thing that could have happened was that Price didn't blow it yesterday. That was the, like, if he would have, put it this way, if it would have started off the, he hit the eight and nine hitters in his last inning. Sure. I mean, he wasn't absolutely perfect yesterday. But I think the bar was so low with David Price. After watching him in his due minor league rehab starts, that's true. Right. So it's now. Better than expected. It's Red Sox nitpick season. Yeah. It is officially started. Today is the beginning of open season on the Red Sox and the over-analysis of them because right now they're the only game in town. But first, we all, I mean, I hope everyone had a decent Memorial Day weekend. John, where did you go? I was up in Kennebuck, Maine, and a fabulous drive home yesterday. And Twitter, of course, is a fantastic thing. I was so frustrated. I don't do well in traffic. There are people like that. I'm one of them, and I tend to skew towards the really lunatic side of things. I can't stand sitting in traffic. And you know what you're getting into when you leave early in the morning, or not even early in the morning, mid-morning, from Kennebunk, Maine to come south. I mean, 95 is an S-show. It just is. It's bad coming south. It took me three hours and 22 minutes to get from Kennebunk, Maine, and you know exactly how far this drive is, to Natick. It's an hour and a half. It's an hour and a half. John was out in the woods. He literally was in the woods, right, my family and I realized that this is going to be bad. So we put our trust in that app called Waze, W-A-Z-E, which has gotten us out of many a traffic jam before. And 95 was so bad, we were taking two-lane roads. We went inland. We went west to go south. We wound up going through. Let's see if I have this, Sanford, Burwick, Summersworth, New Hampshire, which is a town where I looked at up a population of about 9,000 on the New Hampshire main border. You know, you blink and you miss it. And then south through Durham, New Hampshire, which is where the University of New Hampshire is. And for those of you who have driven this, you know how far inland that really was. And then you get back on 95 south of Portsmouth where there is a 10-mile traffic jam waiting for you up until the tolls. And we wound up taking 495 through Methuen all the way to Route 3 South. It was so bad. I've never seen it before. So I tweeted out, you know what? This is a Gilligan's Island tour of three states. |
| 3:26.2 | And, of course, then on tour, do you have the, hey, A-Holl, you know, I'm sitting in traffic too. It took me nine hours to drive a dime. Would you expect, A-Holl? Seriously, I'm not allowed to vent my frustration on Twitter. Apparently not. No. That's the worst drive I've ever had on a holiday coming down from Maine. |
| 3:41.2 | It was atrocious. |
| 3:42.8 | We never got over like 35 miles an hour. It was awful. Well, I was hearing that coming off the cape, which of course is always monumental. That made me smile because I'm like, okay, thank God, I'm not the only one who's stuck in this. No, I saw that, and it was the globe I saw reported, that it was seven to eight hours getting off of the Cape. |
| 4:00.7 | Now, there's two weekends that you're just, you're an idiot if you drive to either the Cape or to Maine. |
| 4:06.8 | And that is Memorial Day weekend. |
| 4:08.9 | If you leave on the Monday of Memorial Day. |
| 4:11.9 | And if you leave, it's, or the Cape, or Fourth July weekend. |
