Good morning. It's Tuesday, May 3rd. We are here together because it is the launch of our book.

Now what? And also because the Supreme Court decided to blow up everybody's lives last night.

For those of you who have not heard, there was a leaked opinion voted on in February to overturn

0:25.1

Roe v Wade. It was written by Samuel Alito. I didn't need another reason to hate Samuel Alito,

1:51.4

circumstances where most people are uncomfortable with an abortion, but there are many more

1:57.6

circumstances where most people believe that a safe, effective abortion ought to be available

2:03.3

without a court getting involved.

2:07.8

Those of you who don't know, I worked at Plain Parenthood Central North Carolina. That's my first

2:11.5

job out of college. I ran the emergency contraception hotline. One hour there, my boss, Karen,

2:18.5

used to say, she had been there since Roe had come down. She said, if a woman doesn't want to have
