So, obviously, we're having you on because, among other things, you've written,

co-authored a book called Left at East Gate with Larry Warren. But Gene and I were talking

right before we called you,

and Gene was wondering how it is.

She was wondering how an American researcher gets involved with a top UK case.

How did that come to pass?

I'll tell you how I got involved in the incident

and in a subspecialty of UFO-related

studies in the United Kingdom.

In 1984, I was attending a grassroots meeting, a very large one.

In Westchester, New York, the subject was the now quite

famous in the UFO literature over flights of these mysterious triangle-shaped ships.

Hundreds and hundreds of local people had packed a local high school auditorium,

everyone from local farmers and horse breeders to Dr. J. Allen Heineck.

And it was a very memorable day of people getting up and testifying to what they had seen
