national security advisor in addition to being Secretary of State.

And it turns out Mike Walts isn't done with the administration. He's taking a new role as

UN ambassador. And that happens at the same time as some loose ends get tied up with Elon Musk's

role in the administration. And here to chat with me about that is Politico's

National Politics Correspondent and longtime friend of playbook, Adam. Good morning, Adam. Good to be with you,

Zach. It's a pleasure to have you here. So what is the appropriate way to see this? How is the

administration seeing the litany of action that we've seen here in the last

24 hours? It's pretty breathtaking. We reached the 100-day milestone this week. And in a lot of

ways, it feels like the, you know, to use the motif, the TV writers are wrapping up a lot of plotlines.

You have, you know, Trump giving Elon Musk this

multi-outlet interview at the end of his, you know, time at Doge, where he talked to a number of outlets

and is talking about, you know, Trump inviting him to stay over at night and sleep in the Lincoln

bedroom and, you know, help himself to some Hogendaz ice cream, calling him late at night and sleep in the Lincoln bedroom and, you know, help himself to some Hogandah's ice cream,

calling him late at night to remind him that there's ice cream if he needs it.

And just to interject here, you're not being sarcastic in saying that. Like that is...

Those are actual quotes from the interviews published. And, you know, you have Trump, you have Trump essentially, you know, in some ways

politely showing Elon Musk the door.

He's going to go spend more time with more time with his cars as, as President Trump's

dead.
