Summary

Mitchell Abidor is the principal French translator for the Marxists Internet Archive. He is a writer and translator living in Brooklyn. His previous books are 'The Great Anger: Ultra-Revolutionary Writing in France from the Atheist Priest to the Bonnot Gang' and 'Communards: The Paris Commune of 1871 as Told by Those Who Fought It'. His newest book is "May Made Me: An Oral History of the 1968 Uprising in France".

Mitchell was on a previous Rev Left Radio episode about the Paris Commune. This time, he joins Brett to discuss the events in France in May of 1968.

Sure I've been the main point much the only French translator at the Marxist

Internet archive, Marxist.org, for I don't know about it, dozen years, translated

about a thousand documents of also over the last few years produced about ten

between ten and thirteen books. I've got a losing count and in fact May Made Me

comes out officially next week on April 10th and then right after that I have

two more books coming out between April and the end of May. This would be a book

called The Permanent Guillaume, a book on the song called in the French Revolution
