that even a few days ago seemed patently absurd. But yes, there is hushed talk about impeachment.

Yes, it's off the record and mostly private among Republican lawmakers, but there

are those who are starting to grapple with the possibility that President Donald Trump may have gone

too far. That's not to say that President Donald Trump will be impeached, but the prospect is

beginning to creep into Republicans' minds, and it's noteworthy that they are not ruling

it out.

We were up in the Capitol last night, chatting with members of Congress about the Republican

dynamics now, and it would be tough to overstate how angry, confused, and fed up they

are with Donald Trump.

The New York Times Mike Schmidt has the story to end all stories, at least for now.

He reported yesterday that Trump asked Jim Comey to drop the investigation into Mike Flynn.

For those that are keeping track at home, yes, this is the same Mike Schmidt who was

instrumental in uncovering Hillary Clinton's email practice revealed that Fox was paying piles of money

to women who alleged harassment at the hands of Bill O'Reilly, reported that Trump asked Comey for loyalty

and broke open Major League Baseball steroid scandal years ago.
