Jeffrey Willis walked into the courtroom that day, knowing his case was a difficult one to try.

Despite having been convicted of murder before,

much of the evidence on this case was circumstantial.

But after years of dead ends, prosecutors felt Jessica Herringa

deserved justice. They had circumstantial evidence and decided to take their chances trying to

prove his guilt in court. Five years prior, in April 2013, 25-year-old Jessica Herringa was working the night shift at a gas station.
