0:49.6	this month, I am reading from the CSB version. Mark one. The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus
0:58.9	Christ, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah, the prophet. See, I'm sending my messenger
1:03.9	ahead of you. He will prepare your way, a voice of one crying out in the wilderness, prepare
1:09.2	the way for the Lord, make his path straight. John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming
1:14.7	a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, the whole Judean countryside, and all the
1:20.3	people of Jerusalem were going out to him. And they were baptized by him in the Jordan river,
1:24.9	confessing their sins. John wore a camel hair garment with a leather belt around his waist and
1:30.7	ate locusts and wild honey. He proclaimed, one who is more powerful than I am is coming after me.
1:38.0	I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the strap of his sandals. I baptize you with water,
1:43.3	but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. And those days, Jesus came from Nazareth and
1:48.6	Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. As soon as he came up out of the water, he saw the
1:54.1	heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven,
