Hey, good morning. I'm Playbuk co-Arthur Eugene Daniels. It's Thursday, May 11th. Here's what's

driving the day in Washington. And I know you watched it, because we all did. In a CNN town hall

last night, former President Donald Trump, gave a preview of what we can expect from his

2024 campaign. It was an explosive mix of falsehoods,

insults, distortions, and outlandish statements. Nothing that we were surprised by. He repeated his

lie that the 2020 election was rigged. He called January 6th a, quote, beautiful day and said he

would be inclined to pardon a large portion of the rioters found guilty of crimes.

He called the black law enforcement officer who shot capital rioter Ashley Babette, a, quote,

thug. He openly called for the U.S. to default on the federal debt.

He elicited applause and laughter from the Republican audience as he mocked E. Gene Carroll

just one day after a New York jury found him civilly liable for sexually

abusing her, all of that, all of that may endear him further to his megabase. It played well in the

crowd. It was kind of surprising, I think, for folks watching, but how much applause he was getting.

That same endearment for the Maga folks will almost certainly spell

trouble for the GOP and battleground states, swing states throughout the country.

I want you guys to start thinking about the suburban white women who have been turned off

by Trump for a very long time.

Just minutes after the broadcast ended, the Biden team announced that they were already

mining the video for attack ads.

So this is not going anywhere.
