All right, Jake, let's get into it. The top story of the day for us. The latest machinations of this January 6th

Security Commission. It's gone on in fits and starts, negotiations between Republicans and

Democrats, but it seems to be moving ahead. Yeah, so it looks like Nancy Pelosi

has has offloaded the negotiating of this compromise of the January 6th commission to Benny Thompson,

the Mississippi Democrat who chairs the Homeland Security Committee, and John Katko, who's the top

Republican on the Homeland Security Committee. So Katko, who's the top Republican on the

Homeland Security Committee. So a few things to note. This is Pelosi kind of pushing it out of her

arena, which is a smart, a smart move because it gives some fresh eyes in the situation. And it also,

it's also smart because Katko, frankly, would be I would imagine he would be just knowing him

he would be eager to get to a deal because he voted to impeach Donald Trump he knows the Donald

Trump that this needs to be investigated now the question is is he going to be empowered to get

a deal is Kevin McCarthy going to be empowered to get a deal?
