Summary

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued to take calls on tonight’s Game 5 and the Celtics offseason options.  Mike and Tony also discussed the Boston Red Sox, last night’s loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee, and concerns with the team.  Finally, the guys took a quick minute to discuss the NHL playoffs.

I do not think, I do not think.

0:03.5

So what are you getting this?

0:04.3

I'm lost.

0:05.2

You can listen to yourself when you talk. Hey, hey, we're live. Woo-hoo! Turn off your radio before it's too late. Hate it, hated, hated, hated, hated it. I told you this was a bad idea. Velgar and Mass, 985, the Sports Hub. All right, Mass. what do you think about that piece of commentary there from B. Rob in the closet?

0:22.4

You think if they finish strong here in the next week, and do you think about that piece of commentary there from B-Rob in the closet?

0:22.3

You think if they finish strong here in the next week, and what I mean by that is I would include, you know, giving Cleveland a little push, winning a game.

0:31.4

Do you think that that impacts how they look at this?

0:33.4

Do you think that would tempt them to say, we actually are closing in on them, so we might as well, you know, the better play is to accelerate it, make a trade and get some guys in here now to get at this quicker. No. I don't. No. I think, for the most part, it has his mind made up. Now, look, are you talking about, if you're talking about Angel Stevens, my answer is no. If you're talking about WIC, maybe.

0:55.8

But the basketball guys, to me, already know.

0:58.4

They already know.

0:59.2

They've watched this team for how many games now over how many years.

1:01.9

And so what do you think they know, that they're trading the pick?

1:05.2

I think that they've convinced WIC that the right thing to do is sign a free agent and use the pick and build and continue to build and try to do something longer term. That's what I think. And again, if I were them, I would trade the pick and go for it. That's what I would do. Because you know what? I think LeBron is closer to the end than a lot of people want to admit. And I'm not saying that there's a decline or that he's dropped off or any of that. I'm just saying there's a lot of miles on LeBron. And, you know, the more, look, the regular season for Cleveland this year was a grind. It gets harder as you go in a lot of ways. And as he gets older here, he's going to have a little less in the tank year after year after year.

2:02.8

And so to me, within two or three years, I think LeBron could be had. I don't think it's five years. I think it's more like two or three. And if I were the Celtics, I would trade the pick and go get a free age. I do both. But I don't think they're going to. But the bigger question is, you don't think that what happens here in the next week is going to impact.

2:04.0

You think they've already made up their minds.

2:04.2

Yep.

2:21.3

I think they're going to. But the bigger question is, you don't think that what happens here in the next week is going to impact. You think they've already made up their minds. Yep. I think they have. I think there's very little chance that anything that happens on the floor here alters the way they're going to do things. What do you think? How about in terms of, see, I think it might because we've had some incredible swings here up and down. I mean, the freight train was going, man, after game two here against Washington.

2:24.2

Isaiah's a max guy, guy worth building around.

2:25.8

They were smart not to do anything at the deadline.

2:27.5

This is the team that they thought they were.

2:29.0

And boom, all systems go.

2:31.6

Doot, do, Murray on the train.
