explaining to our guest this week diane tess, that this show is in a sense computerized.

Because I'll just tell you listeners, we do it in 12 separate segments.

Each recording is edited down to a specific time.

And GCNR network, they set it up so that keys in the commercials.

So when people ask us, why do we have commercial breaks when we do, it's all computerized.

And we have no control over the process, so we simply work within the process.

But in scheduling Diane Testman, I realized that she's very close to an old friend of mine, Tim Beckley.

And I kept thinking, gee, I must have met her somewhere along the line because for many years,

I worked two doors down from Tim Beckley's apartment in New York City.

And it ends up, of course, that I didn't.

We never met because you always lived too far from me,

right, Diane? Yeah, I've been to New York City once or twice in my life, but it was when it was younger

when I was just about 20. I was there in the late 1960s, and it was pretty wild, but I didn't get to Tim's office or anything.

Tim used to come and see me in Florida or San Diego, and I never had to go see him.

I never met you before.

Well, consider yourself, lucky.

But speaking of meeting, a really strange story came my way, courtesy of our co-host
