That trade didn't go through, but they have signed Trey Hendrickson to a four-year

$112 million deal.

Ray, are there shenanigans afoot here?

You know, it kind of feels like you know in fantasy football

when you send that trade offer and it gets accepted and then the group chat just roast you about

the deal and then five hours later you're texting the commission hey i didn't mean to press

accept on that deal i need to get that trade reversed the ras did that and had another deal set up to get something cheaper.

This is, Pat, I can't recall remembering this happening in the NFL so close to like the free agency period.

This is madness.

Absolute madness, man.

Even if there's nothing afoot, Connor, the optics of this are so bad.

Yeah, because the verbiage that they used to the trade was they backed out of the trade initially.

It wasn't Max Crosby failed as physical. That obviously did come out a couple minutes later, but it was they backed out of the trade.

And from my understanding, like the team doctors can really kind of test whatever they need to. And he is recovering from an injury. So they could have easily just been like, yeah, he's not in good enough shape or where we thought he'd be. And so they failed him because they saw Trey Hendrickson not being scooped up yet. and they wouldn't have to spend two first round picks.

We could still get him on a good deal.

So I'm not saying that that for sure happened, but like Ray said, the timing, the optics, all of it is extremely suspicious.

Who's the better player, Ray? It's Max Crosby. There's no doubt about it. At this stage

of Hendrickson's career, I would consider him a pass rush specialist. I wouldn't consider him in every down player as somebody you don't want out there, 80, 90 percent of the snaps defending the run and then trying to do what he does best on third down. And we all know that's exactly what Max Crosby is. I can't speak to the knee. I'm not a damn doctor. I haven't seen it. I didn't scope it. I haven't looked at it. But when he's on the field, weeks one through 18, that dude is a menace against the run and getting after the quarterback. Max Crosby is no doubt the better player. But Pat, it wasn't about who the better player was. This clearly was about something else.
