My name is Rosalind Welch.

I host this podcast, and I want to welcome you to the 2026 season of the

questions we should be asking. I took a break over the past month or so, but I'm excited to be back

with more interviews and more questions. Meanwhile, I hope you've been enjoying a new feature we've

added to this podcast feed, our Old Testament Reflection series.

We took a page from a project we did two years ago, Book of Mormon Reflections, where we posted weekly essays on the Maxwell Institute blog, written by our fellows to coordinate with the Come Follow Me curriculum.

We thought it was a great way for our audience to hear directly from our amazing Maxwell Institute faculty.

So this year we're back with Old Testament reflections.

And we've added audio versions right here in the feed.

Today I'm bringing you an interview with Dr. Miranda Wilcox.

Back before the holidays, I started a series of interviews highlighting each of the

Institute's four research initiatives, Bible, Book of Mormon, interfaith engagement, and Latter-day Saint

discipleship. Before Christmas, we only managed to release the first in that series, a great

interview on our Bible initiative with Christian Heel. So today I'm picking that project back up

with this conversation about our discipleship initiative.
