So how did you come to the field of peace and conflict studies?

That's a great question.

And I came about it in a rather roundabout way.

I received my doctor at the University of Minnesota, learned a lot about conflict, oppression, hegemony. And in the midst of my studies, I wanted to learn more about alternative theories about peace, about altruism, selflessness. And when I began asking my faculty about that,
