Rockstar is known for, of course, Grand Theft Auto, the GTA, as the kids like to say.

But there was one time Rockstar had another rock star in his library and his name was Max Payne.

who comes in one day to find his family murdered and just doesn't give a shit anymore.

Yeah, people, this was released in 2001, and one of the big things that made this game popular is that it was very cinematic.

Yes.

It was taking these things that were new that we saw in movies like back in 1999 with the Matrix.

You know, they brought that bullet time.

They brought bullet time to the pain over here.

And you can see right here they did slow-mo Jai Wu two guns.

It was a hard-boiled story.

Yeah, yeah.

Now, those graphics look crazy, but believe me, this time, man, it was cool at the time.

It was, yeah, this was the thing at the time.

And it was keeping up with current trends and video games and with movies that made it a slightly more cinematic experience in the average game out there.

And so now we jump to 2008 when this was adapted to an actual movie.
