Hi guys, today we got a special guest on the podcast, his name is Max McLean, so he

is an award-winning actor, and he's also the artistic director of New York City

Base Fellowship for Performing Arts, and he played CS Lewis in the film The Most

Reluctant Convert, the untold story of CS Lewis. So guys, if you're listening

these podcasts, you know, one right after the other is Norman Stone, who directed

and wrote this movie in the Max McLean, who starred in this movie. So it was a

very, very fun conversation with both of these guys, and I asked him a lot of

the same questions because I wanted you to kind of see this from the artistic

side as the director and then the artistic side as the actor. But with this

interview with Max, we talked a lot about specifically, you know, how he got into

acting, you know, what kind of led him to that type of life. You know, some of the

misconceptions about what it means to be an actor, you know, whenever you kind of

get into it, you think that, oh, people are just going to be overwhelmed with

your looks and your talent, but that you actually have to have the chops, you

have to practice, you kind of have to get yourself out there. But then beyond that,

we're going to talk about The Most Reluctant Convert, and we're going to spend a

lot of time talking about the story of CS Lewis, because he is a guy that, you

know, history should have forgotten, because he was a smart guy that went to

Oxford, and you know, that's, you know, reflective of thousands of people before,

but why are we still today talking about this guy? And why has he sold a quarter

of a billion books? And each year that goes by, we, he sells even more books.
