All right, guys, we've got a very special guest on the podcast today.

His name is Max Lucado.

So he is a pastor speaker and literally one of the most prolific and successful Christian authors of all time.

He's written or contributed to

well over 100 books since 1985. And his books guys have sold more than 150 million copies.

And they've been printed in 50 languages, over 50 languages. It's just an absolute, his career has

been absolutely insane. I'll just

tell you, I can still remember, and I will never forget how early on in this podcast, guys,

how I was just thrilled when anyone would come on the show, right? It was a one-to-one ratio of people

that I would want to come on the show or people that were pitched to come on the show and the people that came on. And now it's very different. We're looking at, you know, I'll get 25-ish pitches for every one person I'll accept onto the show. But his team reached out to us last week and we're like, hey, we've got a tight window here. We recorded this several months before it came out because that's how tight his windows are with his writing and his pastoral work and everything else and it was just the easiest yes like of course

well you know we'll do what we can to make this happen but it was such a pleasure to talk to max

because not only you're just going to feel like you know i guess he's been called america's pastor he

feels that way he feels like he could just be your dad or your grandpa, like just very

encouraging, very, very positive. And we really did hit it off. But we start out by talking about the fact that he got his first tattoo at the age of 70. Okay. So that kind of gets you into the conversation as to what in the world were you thinking? No tattoos for 70 years. And here you go and get one. love a story as to why. Then we talked about, you know, hey, why did you become a writer?

How did you kind of go that direction? You know, how do you approach a kid's

audience, because he's written kids books, versus an adult audience and what that looks like? And really

overall, why do that and be a pastor? Right? Because you can just go and write books and stay in your

library or your office and just write your books, but he is still a pastor. He's been a pastor, right? Because you can just go and write books and stay in your library or your office

But then I talked to him about, you know, the same question you've heard me ask a lot this year about, hey, do you feel like there's a coming, coming capital A awakening? You know, we see the cracks of the foundation of new atheism.
