Summary
Max Greenfield is on the balcony! You’ll know him from New Girl, The Neighborhood, The Big Short, & Promising Young Women… he’s a comedic heavy hitter and he dove right into the TYSO universe.
Rick came ready to dive into a scripted scene (thanks to successful Hollywood writer Jon DeWalt). Oh and it features a little cameo from Lamorne Morris!!
Rick addresses the pimple no one can see but he’s uncomfortable with not acknowledging it (but don't worry, it'll make a huge appearance next week). They start to unpack interesting topics, like when its appropriate to improvise in an audition, Max being impressed by Rick's Marc Maron appearance, and how they both think they make great podcast guests but horrible hosts.
Max discusses meeting Rick on set of A Stupid And Futile Gesture and Rick explains how the podcast has “broken him," confusing his confidence. Max offers some perspective on dealing with embarrassment and how he’s changed his relationship with auditions, ego, and caring too much.
