So shout out to everybody that's giving him great thoughts and prayers and all that to his family. Today, though, I'm going to talk about the Mab Summer League team. We're going to talk about keys for each of them because of a thing that coach Joe Boylan said about the summer league and what they wanted to do. And so we'll talk about each one of those players, we'll give some keys for them. We'll talk about what they need to show to make the roster to show up at the next level, to do all that kind of stuff.

Well, let's start here because the Mavericks finally, finally, finally, announce the six-team trade with all the different players that the Mavs had been rumored to be talking about or rumored to be trading for and all that kind of stuff for the offseason. Finally came in as another six-team trade. It's the second six-team trade in Mavs history. The second one was 2024. The Mavs acquired Clay Thompson. Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant went to Houston, I think, in that one from the Sun, from the Suns. Just like so many different things happened in that trade.

But I think that was the first one of all, the first one ever of six teams. It's, this is happening because the, you know, moratorium period ends at a certain point. It's that these teams have so much time now to actually like figure out things and wait. and the salary cap experts, the Mavs have, you know, Andrew Baker and some others

that could put all these things together

and put all the you know pieces together and say oh we'll pull this we'll pull this move in and this can make things work and then all of a sudden I talked the other day about why this move and making it a 16 trade is actually helpful for the Mavericks they still have spending power with both the traded player exception and mid-level exception. They'll have most of their mid-level exception. They'll have to use some of it on Territ Pavarvich, but Bebevich. And so they'll have something, but they'll still have a lot of spending power. And so I think that's super smart. The Mav's got Sonti Aldama in the trade. They got Marcus Sasser and Babarevich.

And if you haven't listened to the show for the last couple of weeks, I've been talking

about each of them.

I've had breakdowns of each of them and all that.

But just to give you a quick overview on what those guys are, Sonti Aldama coming over

from the Grizzlies.

He's 25 years old.

He's from Spain. He's a seven footer that can shoot the three, 35% from three on five attempts a game over the last three years. Solid shooter for his size, for sure. Not a great elite shooter, but when you watch him take shots, you're like, oh, that guy takes threes. Like, that guy does that. He is, you know, can handle the ball. He's a fluid athlete, can run, get out. Not the best rim protector or defender, but he can step out in space a little bit and defend because of the feat and all that.

He's played for the Spanish national team and played at Eurobasket in 2025 with Sergio de La Rea with Larry at the Spanish national team.
