Mauree Turner. Mori Turner, whose pronouns are both she and they, was elected on November 3rd to

represent Oklahoma's 88th district. Their win makes Maury the first openly non-binary person in U.S. history to become a state lawmaker.

She is also the first Muslim and openly queer state legislator ever elected in Oklahoma.

During their campaign, Moria received critical endorsements from national leaders like squad member,

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. In addition to making history,

Maury is a community organizer, focused on fighting for the civil rights and liberties of everyone,
