Wow.

The only text Charlie and I exchanged through that slog of a hockey game was,

how do we talk for an hour about a game in which nothing happened?

And listen, I guess Jason Robertson scoring,

maybe the most uneventful hatch trick ever is a thing that happened.

We talked pregame, Charlie, about, listen, if there was ever a scheduled loss you're up against

a legitimate stanley cup contender in a road back to back with travel like what if three out of

four what are you going to do uh Is that kind of just what happened tonight?

Because they appeared to have nothing from the jump.

Yeah, my initial thought watching this game was, thank God they won last night.

Because the fact that they come away with two points in a game where they were down two goals twice

on Friday night against the Blues, you can at least go home feeling like, all right,

well, we held surf. If you lose Friday's game, this game is really painful. Instead,

it's a bit easier for it to just be like, yeah, scheduled loss, really good team, bad circumstances.

But yeah, it was abundantly clear from the jump that the Flyers did not have jump.

They didn't.

There was like a brief period in the middle of the second period where you were like, maybe they're getting something going.
