Formula 1 celebrated 70 years in 2020 and only one team has raced in every season. Ferrari.

The Scooteria is synonymous with the top echelon of motorsport and unsurprisingly,

it's F1's most successful team. 16 constructors titles, 15 drivers titles, 237 wins, 228

poles and 768 podiums and counting. With all that history, expectations are always high,

making the job of team principle one of the most pressured in Formula 1. And when things go

badly as they have done this year, that pressure is ratcheted up again. This week I speak to

the man charged with getting Ferrari back to winning ways once more. Welcome to Beyond the Grid

with me Tom Clarkson. Mattia Benotto joined the Scooteria in 1995, fresh from university.

And over a period of 25 years he worked his way up the company to team principle.

He started out on the engine side, then took overall technical responsibility for the car in 2016

and became team principle at the beginning of last year. Mattia knows Ferrari intimately.

He knows what the company means both to the sport of Formula 1 and to Italy. After all,

he holds one of the most prestigious jobs in the country. He's also worked with some amazing

drivers. He and Michael Schumacher joined Ferrari at the same time. And Mattia has worked with

three other world champions as well, Kimi Reichen and Fernando Alonzo and Sebastian Vettel.

With each of them, there have been joyous highs and intense lows and always pressure.
