This is Matt Lynch coming to you from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I'm a co-host along with Matt Bates, Drew Johnson, Aaronheim, Chris Tilling, Amy Brown

Hughes, and Jules Martinez-Olivieri.

We are a collective that is working to explore biblical studies and theology in the bridges between them.

And in this episode, Drew is going to be interviewing me about my book portraying violence,

which was published last year with Cambridge University Press.

And I promise I didn't force Drew to do this because I interviewed him about his book.

So he asked and I obliged.

And I'm looking forward to you hearing about the work I've been doing on violence in the Old Testament.

And I'm actually working right now on another book for IBP Academic on wrestling with violence in the Bible, so which is you'll hear from

this interview.

It's a different angle than I take in the book that I'll be talking about in this episode.
