So you can tell yourself that was the love of my life and I'm never going to find anyone like that again.

That's a story that will keep you chronically unhappy and chronically heartbroken.

I meet people who are 20 years later still heartbroken about someone who left.

You've developed a story that's just not true, but the story is keeping you in that place of

chronic pain. You can grieve and be disappointed that someone

wasn't the one, but that is different from grieving as though they were the one.

If you stay locked in that story, it becomes your only story.

There's so many stories waiting for the telling, whose stories begin precisely where your feet are now.

Yeah.

And as long as you're stuck in that old story,

you never actually open yourself up to what's possible.

I think the world is like full of a kind of fake vulnerability right now

where people and I did it like when I was dating in my 20s, I totally going to talk about that because I love that you.
