Uplifting Wayfm, this is The Wally Show, and that of course is Mr. Matthew West.

And you know Matthew from the litany of songs he's written,

but I wanted to go deeper into what or who made him the man he is today.

And that's why we had him and his amazing wife, Emily, on, with us to tell some stories

and maybe even dish a little, you know,

about their marriage and their life. So we went all the way back to the beginning when Matthew

was a struggling musician auditioning for record labels and how they met. He sang several

songs for all of us.

He was nervous and so cute.

And I went up to him afterward and I just said,

Hi, I'm Emily. I work in artist development.

You know, you did a great job.

And he was like, thank you.

And he just blew me off, basically.
