So we received multiple 911 calls on the night that he went missing and it started out with a neighbor calling 911 who immediately next door.

He was saying that there was somebody at her house knocking on the door and yelling that he needed help.

She recognized him as Matthew and while she was on the phone with 911, he ran out into a major highway, old 99, which is in front of their both of their houses.

And then we started getting 911 calls from people on the roadway saying that he was in the roadway.

So that was how we... I mean, traffic was having to stop for him and that was how we were first made aware of this situation.

20-year-old Matthew Anfelt disappeared from his mom's house in Tanayno, Washington on the evening of February 28, 2019.

Matthew had spent the day with his sister and her boyfriend. The three went out bowling together earlier in the day.

Videos his sister took, show Matthew smiling and laughing. They returned to their mom's home and Matthew spent more time chatting with his sister.

Everything seemed normal. Matthew got up to get his cell phone and never came back to his sister's room.

Within minutes, she heard sirens outside and came to learn that several people had witnessed Matthew's sudden, panicked behavior nearby.

Dispatchers began getting more calls about Matthew from a speedway a couple miles down the road.

By the time they got there, Matthew was gone. Never to be seen again.
