open up your Bibles to Matthew chapter 7.

Verse 21, not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the

will of my father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to me on that day,

Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles.

And then I will declare to them, I never knew you.

Depart from me you who practice lawlessness. Let's go to the Lord in prayer.

Father, we come before you in the name of your son.

We pray dear God, for the regenerating and illuminating work of the spirit

as the word is preached,

that a harvest might be gathered

for the lamb. might be both a joy and a solemn,

that also there might be both a joy and a solemn reverence

implanted with greater strength in the heart of your people.

Lord, please help us in Jesus' name, amen. The secular historian believes that history is somewhat vague, maybe even circular, that it is always returning upon itself, that there is no progression, no line, no end, but that is not true.

Jesus Christ, not only in his ministry, but later on through the inspiration of the apostles, made it quite clear

that history has an end and it will end with all of mankind standing before God.

We are sometimes a dull people,

especially the last generation,

has been trained to be dull, to be unthinking, to be busy, to be entertained

so that it doesn't concentrate on the things that are important and that is the fact that every

son of Adam and daughter of Eve will one day stand before God and their eternal destiny will be determined.
