0:57.0	All right, we're in Matthew chapter 5 and today we're in verses 18 and 19.
1:02.0	Here visiting, we're going through the sermon on the mount
1:04.3	Matthew chapters 5 through 7 is the greatest sermon ever been preached in the history of the
1:09.3	world by the greatest preacher who ever walked the earth, the Lord Jesus Christ. It's the first
1:14.5	recorded sermon that we have from Christ. No one can preach like Christ. And we've
1:21.8	come to verses 18 and 19 and the focus is on his commitment to the
1:30.4	word of God to the written word of God to the word of God to the scripture.
1:34.0	And the reason that he makes this emphasis
1:37.0	is that what he has said to this point
1:40.0	has been so radically different from the teaching of the religious leaders of Israel,
1:47.0	that it would appear that he is bringing a new message with a new morality and Jesus is establishing no.
1:57.0	I've not come to abolish the Old Testament.
2:01.0	I've kind of fulfill it and he is now making a strong statement of his
2:08.7	commitment to the entirety of the written word of God.
